Ideation Coaching started with Devlin Shea & Charles Richardson exploring how Creative Consulting and Personal Development Coaching could overlap and enrich each other.
Devlin Shea's career has been rooted in consumer research and insights for companies and organisations. She became intrigued by the potential for her creative tools to be applied to support individuals. She recognised that empowering individuals would strengthen her consulting with teams, as organisations are fundamentally built on the strength of their people.
Meanwhile, Charles Richardson’s English language coaching business was thriving. Drawing from his experiences as an artist, he saw how creativity had shaped his own growth and wondered how he could incorporate creative ideation tools into his coaching practice.
They brought their shared vision to life, combining their expertise to develop a unique coaching approach that unlocks creativity, drives innovation, and fosters both personal and professional transformation.
Ideation Coaching offers workshops and consulting services with Devlin. Charles steps on board for Coaching clients, while he continues to lead his executive language coaching business Speak English Well: speakenglishwell.co.uk .
Devlin Shea
Creative Consultant & Workshop Lead
Devlin is a Visual Researcher, Marketing Strategist and Artist with over 20 years of experience helping people and organisations see their ideas more clearly.
She began her career at Harvard University’s Mind of the Market Lab, studying Neuromarketing and the mind's use of metaphor to ‘file’ thoughts and shape beliefs. Since then, she has worked as a creative consultant with global brands across Europe, North America, and Asia—supporting projects in branding, advertising, product design, R&D and innovation.
Devlin also works with mission-driven organisations in the nonprofit, education and community arts sectors—bringing visual tools to support insight, collaboration and meaningful social impact. Her workshops and consulting projects have helped teams align around shared values, communicate more effectively and imagine new futures together.
Devlin is also a practicing visual artist whose work has been exhibited internationally. She’s active in her local ceramics collective, volunteers on museum steering committees and finds joy in time with her family and new puppy.
Charles Richardson
Creative Coach & Phonology Expert
Charles is an Executive Coach. He is a highly creative person who is always developing new tools and finding unusual angles to help his clients.
He specialises in Executive Language Coaching, Accent Softening, Fluency and Phonology at his business: Speak English Well. He trained as a Professional Development Coach at Oxford University and took a short course in Coaching at Cambridge University.
Charles has worked with business leaders and successful professionals across the world to develop their language skills, professional development, securing promotions and career changes.
Charles is also an artist and filmmaker with work in museum collections across Europe and the United States.
He loves finding hidden gems in charity shops, long hikes in nature and climbing.
